The Dosatron DIA4AL is a diaphragm metering pump from the Animal Health Line, purpose-built for very low water flow and low water pressure conditions such as header tanks. It runs entirely on the pressure and flow of water passing through it, with no electricity required, and its diaphragm motor design copes well with mineral-laden water carrying iron or calcium.
Description
The Dosatron DIA4AL is a diaphragm metering pump from the Animal Health Line, purpose-built for very low water flow and low water pressure conditions such as header tanks. Like all Dosatron pumps, it runs entirely on the pressure and flow of the water passing through it, with no electricity required at the point of installation.
Its diaphragm motor design gives it strong performance at low flow rates and with water carrying minerals such as iron or calcium, which extends motor lifespan and reduces maintenance compared to mechanisms less tolerant of hard water. An external injection point keeps the dosing mechanism protected from the additive being injected.
It offers an injection range of 1-4% (1:100 to 1:25) across a water flow range of 4.5-2,500 l/h and operating pressure of 0.15-4 bar, with a 0.47 litre stroke volume and NPT-BSP 3/4″ M connections. It suits vaccination, medication, acidification and supplementation dosing through drinking water on livestock farms, particularly where water pressure and flow are limited.
