The Pyxis ST-772-P uses luminescent (optical) dissolved oxygen detection, avoiding the membrane replacement and electrolyte refill required by older galvanic and polarographic DO sensors. This variant uses a plastic sensor body construction as an alternative to the standard-body ST-772.
