Description

The Pyxis EM-500 is an inline chlorophyll-a sensor that uses fluorescence detection to monitor algae concentration in real time, without reagents or wet chemistry. It is suited to raw water intake monitoring, algae bloom detection in cooling water sources, and process water quality tracking where biological fouling risk needs early warning.

Because detection is fluorescence-based, the sensor avoids the consumables and upkeep associated with wet-chemistry algae monitoring methods, giving continuous readings without reagent replenishment.

Isolated 4-20mA analog and RS-485 Modbus outputs support direct integration with a PLC, SCADA, or third-party controller, and diagnosis, calibration, and cleanliness checks are handled through the MA-CR Bluetooth adapter and the uPyxis mobile app.
