Features

The RT-100 PRISM is an inline digital refractometer that reads the refractive index of a liquid sample and converts it directly into accurate concentration values for water and process fluid applications. It operates as a stand-alone unit with local display, push-button interface, and onboard data logging, and also outputs via 4-20mA and RS-485 Modbus for integration with a PLC, DCS, or third-party controller.

Built-in temperature-compensated equations convert the measured refractive index into percentage concentration for Mono-Ethylene Glycol (MEG), Mono-Propylene Glycol (MPG), Sugar Content (BRIX), and Advanced Low Viscosity Fluid (ALV), covering a wide span of glycol and process monitoring duties from one sensor body.

Construction is 316L stainless steel with a sapphire measurement window, rated IP67, and installs into a Tri-Clamp flow assembly with 3/4″ NPT flange, allowing removal for cleaning without tools. In fouled or contaminated fluid streams, Pyxis recommends routine sensor eye cleaning per the manual, or fitting the ultrasonic cleaning module accessory.

Add the MA-CR Bluetooth Adapter for wireless data access via the uPyxis mobile app, including up to 56 days of stored historical readings at 1-minute intervals.

Key specifications:

  • Range: Refractive index 1.30000–1.5100, BRIX 0–85%, MEG/MPG/ALV 0–100%
  • Accuracy: Refractive index ±0.0002, BRIX & glycol ±0.2%
  • Sample temperature: -20 to 70°C
  • Max sample pressure/flow: 0.98MPa / 9.8ft/s
  • Wet materials: Sapphire, 316L stainless steel
  • Outputs: (2) 4-20mA & RS-485 Modbus
  • Power: 24VDC, 1.5W
  • Protection: IP67

Specifications
