Pyxis ST-588 Inline PTSA + Fluorescent Polymer Sensor

Model:
ST-588
Brand:
Pyxis

The Pyxis ST-588 is an inline dual-parameter sensor that measures PTSA and fluorescent tagged polymer together in a single probe, across a 0-200ppb / 0-20ppm range. Output is dual 4-20mA analog and RS-485 Modbus through an 8-pin connector.

Description

The Pyxis ST-588 is an inline dual-parameter sensor that measures PTSA and fluorescent tagged polymer together in a single probe, across a 0-200ppb / 0-20ppm range.

This lets operators running combined inhibitor and polymer treatment programmes confirm both dosing streams from one measurement point rather than installing two separate sensors.

Output is dual 4-20mA analog and RS-485 Modbus through an 8-pin connector, for integration with plant control systems.

Why Use This

Two Tracers, One Probe

Measuring PTSA and fluorescent tagged polymer together reduces the number of insertion points needed on the process line.

Simplified Dosing Verification

Combined readings let operators confirm both inhibitor and polymer dosing from a single sensor.

Standard Control Integration

Dual 4-20mA analog and RS-485 Modbus outputs through an 8-pin connector allow straightforward wiring into a PLC or SCADA system.

Applications

  • Combined scale inhibitor and dispersant/polymer dosing programmes
  • Water treatment sites running both PTSA and tagged-polymer chemistries
  • PLC/SCADA-integrated dual-parameter dose monitoring

FAQ

What two parameters does this sensor measure?

It measures PTSA and fluorescent tagged polymer together, in a single probe, across a 0-200ppb / 0-20ppm range.

Why use a dual-parameter sensor instead of two single-parameter sensors?

Combining both measurements in one probe covers combined inhibitor and tagged-polymer treatment programmes from a single measurement point.

How does it connect to a control system?

Output is dual 4-20mA analog and RS-485 Modbus through an 8-pin connector.

Does this model include a tee assembly?

The base ST-588 model description does not specify a no-tee configuration; sensor-only and stainless steel variants are offered separately as the ST-588-NT, ST-588SS, and ST-588SS-T.
