ATEX-certified biofilm sensor for classified explosive atmosphere zones, suited to Oil & Gas applications.
The Alvim AX03S3 is an ATEX-certified biofilm sensor built for classified hazardous areas such as Oil & Gas facilities. It provides the same real-time bacterial fouling detection as Alvim's standard sensor range, housed to meet Ex II 2G Ex mb IIB T6 Gb ratings for use in explosive atmospheres.
The Alvim AX03S3 is Alvim’s ATEX-certified biofilm sensor, built for use in classified areas where there is a risk of explosion, such as Oil & Gas facilities. It provides the same real-time bacterial fouling detection as Alvim’s standard sensor range, housed to meet an Ex II 2G Ex mb IIB T6 Gb rating for use in explosive atmospheres.
It connects via a 1″ BSPP thread and is constructed with titanium (working electrode), zinc (counter electrode), POM-C, and a stainless steel threaded connector. Sensitivity covers 1-100% of surface covered by biofilm, detecting the first bacterial layer. Operating temperature is -10 to +50°C, at pressures below 10 bar, with conductivity greater than 10 µS/cm and oxygen levels above 1 ppm at maximum sensitivity. Power supply is 12/24V DC ±20%, 500 mA, with 4-20 mA and RS485/MODBUS RTU data communication.
It is suited to Oil & Gas water treatment and other classified hazardous-area applications requiring biofilm monitoring.
The Ex II 2G Ex mb IIB T6 Gb ATEX rating allows safe deployment in classified Oil & Gas and other explosive-atmosphere zones.
Delivers the same real-time biofilm fouling detection as Alvim’s standard sensor range, so hazardous-area sites don’t sacrifice monitoring capability.
It is rated Ex II 2G Ex mb IIB T6 Gb, certifying it for classified hazardous zones.
It provides the same real-time bacterial fouling detection as the standard range, but in a housing rated for explosive atmospheres, and uses POM-C and stainless steel in its threaded connector construction rather than PVC.
It operates from -10 to +50°C, with biofilm growth monitoring effective from +2 to +40°C.
It is suited to Oil & Gas water treatment and other classified hazardous-area applications requiring biofilm monitoring.
